Contractors and Recruiters Beware!

Business Outlook

Pros

If you don't have recruiting experience, they will hire you. You can learn the basics of recruiting. You will receive good training. Not much is expected of recruiting. Fill a couple of positions a month and you are a rock star! That said - it is a great work life balance because of this.

Cons

It is All VMS business. Basically you are competing against 20 other agencies to submit resumes to several VMS's. It is not full lifecycle recruiting! This used to be the place experienced technical recruiters wanted to work. Now recruiters are hired with very little experience. The commission is a fraction of what recruiters made 4 - 6 years ago. Account Management can't bring in business and the ones who could are no longer here -that is another huge mistake by upper management. The departure of key employees who had been here for so long will and already is losing us money! Upper management is out of touch. There is so much overhead cost, it is impossible to compete and pay what the competitors can pay. Contractors!! Negotiate! We can and should pay you more. Candidates and contractors are not a priority - just #'s. Environment is full of drama. CompuCom has become a breeding ground for low talent recruiters. They could do so much more and go on to do great things, but this company will stunt their growth.
