Pros

- The company has many divisions and I think most of the bad reviews are coming from calls centers. - Competitive Salaries - Friendly and highly educated staff in a nice comfortable work environment. - It's a 9 - 5 job. no one expects you to stay longer that your work hours unless you agree to. - Very entrepreneurial.. If you have a good idea, you can just meet with the CEO or any of the VPs and discuss it. - Upper management might be traditional but very approachable

Cons

- You only get 10 vacation and sick days which negatively affects your life balance. - Health insurance is expensive

Pros

No skills required, as long as you clock-in at 8:45am and clock-out at 6:00pm- you will maintain your job indefinitely, really. Only thing that kept me here for 2 years was the CIO (Rich Cannici) because he is the only person in upper-management that believes in work-life balance and valuing key employees who prove their worth.

Cons

CGS doesn't care about your skills (or lack of). There are persons who've been here for 7+ years and can't even perform the job CGS hires them for (ie. Lotus Notes admin, Informix admin) and yet they continue to collect a check. Also, if you want flexibility with work schedule or work-from-home benefits this place has a zero tolerance policy. If you're lucky enough to have an understanding manager then you can get compensation-time for working on weekends or off-hours, otherwise it's pretty much against company policy to work remotely. Dress-code is stuck in the 70s IBM days where you must wear a shirt and tie even during summer days. Absolutely no casual Fridays! Also, for better or worse, there are no annual reviews. Whatever your initial salary is, is what you'll leave with; even if you work your ass off and go beyond your job description, upper-management prefers to fire you and hire someone else if you ask for a raise. CEO has a superiority complex and believes anyone can be replaced regardless of skill, loyalty, or tenure.
