Pros

Pay is above average, excellent colleagues and supervisors. All co-workers that I've come in contact with are smart, hardworking, kind people that are willing to lend a hand.

Cons

If there is an economic downturn...or say a pandemic - you will be laid-off with no severance package and no extension of benefits. Unfortunately, Concentra doesn't care about their employees, only the bottom line. Everyone brags that they run as a "lean mean machine" but obviously not lean enough for a billion dollar company. Net revenue for Concentra in 2019 was $1.63 billion...but they can't offer a financial cushion or benefits to impacted employees? t's sad, disappointing and should be a warning to anyone considering employment with Concentra. How a company responds in a time of crisis is indicative of their company culture and values.

Pros

The only pros are the colleagues that you work with.

Cons

Where do I begin? Unrealistic expectations of how many patients you can get in and out in an hour. Understaffed and underpaid. As a manager you have no say in how your clinic is run ..its do as your told or else. Once they decide they want you out they will harass and intimidate you and accuse you of things you didnt do, all with the goal of getting you to quit. I had 5 managers in 6 years and the last three were horrible. I finally decided my physical and mental well being were more important than any job . Word to the wise...stay away.

Pros

Working with people who have a genuine caring spirit for the patients.

Cons

Policies/processes very vague when/if you're ever able to find them. Training was a 4-day process of completing LMS modules, then you're thrown into the fire. Professional Development was referring to dated, irrelevant LMS modules. "Not in the budget" for Managers to attend professional seminars to develop their skills. The poor culture is representative of this. Frequent system outages during high volume periods. IT is located off-site at the headquarters, so consulting them for assistance means calling an 800#, wait in a queue for 15 minutes, then another 30 minutes as they remote in to your computer. If they find they need to come onsite, be prepared to wait weeks at a time before anyone shows up.
