Pros

Tasks are laid out pretty clearly. You are allowed to work at your own pace and the expectations are reasonable as long as you aren't actively slacking off you should be able to do well or excel.

Cons

Can get boring with repetition. Processes do change which is part of the field. As this is a sub prime lender your awareness of the common practices will lower your views of capitalist society.

Pros

Option to work remotely was helpful.

Cons

They do not care about employees. Any constructive criticism of policies is met with hostility. Resources undergo constant rewriting and employees are often left to wait on finished versions of policies and instructions while still completing tasks. Any tasks completed during these times are done based on outdated information and held against the employee. Any errors made before changes or updates to policies and practices are held against employees. Management takes no accountability. Employees are removed from tasks with no notice and, when questioned, management refuses to provide insight as to why. There are constant changes to management (four supervisors in two and a half years), and supervisors are moved to departments of which they have little to no knowledge. There is no opportunity for growth or advancement, and the turn over rate is rather high. The work is daunting and stressful, and training was provided only after it was requested multiple times. This company is more afraid of being sued than anything. Compensation is laughably low given the current economy. While there is paid time off, employees are punished for using it. Going to a doctor is not an excuse (said verbatim by a former member of management). Overall not a good place to work.
