There is a lot to unpack here. In my opinion the company used to be okay to work at, and has quickly declined. Based on my experience the leadership at connect is not interested in the employees they are supposed to lead, because they ignore any feedback or suggestions from employees. The "project managers" are tasked with project management, technical support, software deployment, quality assurance, creating and updating bug tickets for development, technical writing, and whatever else can be placed on the catch all team. They are not allowed to discuss tickets with the developers without receiving permission from the scrum master. this process sometimes leaves tickets to squalor for extra hours, to days. I watched valuable coworkers be drafted onto an after hours on-call rotation (1 week every 3 weeks on call) without receiving any compensation for their time on call or calls taken, and when they declined to be on the rotation the leadership doubled down on forcing them to do it. These were not coworkers on the support team. Benefits have been cut, this along with other stingy cost-saving measures did make me worry that the company was not doing well financially. This feeling was amplified by the absolute headache involved in asking for a raise to bring my salary up to market rate. It appears that Connect is only interested in paying as little as possible for their employees.
