Cons

Interviewed with Connect Search for an internal recruiter position over a month ago. Was presented the interview through a referral and throughout the call was told how different they were and how much they cared about their people and their associates on billing. Well...4+ weeks later, and after a professional thank you email which demonstrated my interest in the position, I've yet to hear a word back from them. This, this is what gives recruiters and recruitment agencies a bad reputation. Be better.

We appreciate honest feedback from all current employees. When we interview candidates we always follow up and provide feedback. Feedback is a significant part of our companies daily practice and we pride ourselves on this.

Pros

you get commission starting day one and can work from home once a week. all other pros have really gone down hill.

Cons

A lot has changed since my last review on here. still a current employee, for now. Most people that have been with the company have left, and many are wanting to leave. Management is down to one person on our team. It's gone from quality over quantity to very much a Robert Half feel, which is what they were trying to get away from. When you try to talk to to management about issue they say to grow up/act like an adult, and honestly just don't care and "don't have time." It's sad, but they are trying to grow the company fast and open more locations to make the most with a potential PE by-out/selling of the firm down the line, according to one partner - that is when they plan to retire. There are psychotic people on the team who get away with some crazy stuff, one person because of the amount she bills. Management is power hungry on the recent growth (which happened because of what the firm used to be) and no longer is the firm it was when I joined. Compensation is only getting 3 stars now because they pay good fees but partners will hand themselves things and set themselves up to get bigger parts of deals/sides of clients, keeping themselves way ahead of everyone. They also do shady things and cut you out on parts of your deals and out it towards the "house" but when similar situations happen to them, they get the fee and not the house. It used to be that they cared about the success of their team, no longer does it feel that way. I would not recommend anyone to join this firm if it stays this way.

Unfortunately, this is an unpredictable job market. We realize that everyone is feeling the stress of this market as a result. I can assure you that we do care, we are trying every day to help you build your business by working together to represent quality job seekers to quality firms. The management that built this organization routinely introduces junior level staff to their long-term clients in an effort to help newer recruiters learn and develop their business. While we understand that every personality on each team may not always click, we do value each person and we can help you learn how to build successful internal relationships. I encourage you to seek out one of the Partners of the firm and HR to voice your concerns in a more constructive manner. As you are a current employee, we want to help you work thru this stressful time and build a long-term, sustainable career.

Pros

Some decent people that work there

Cons

Have you noticed how the negative reviews on Connect Search are disappearing as soon as they are written or are getting pushed back by positive reviews? That's because management required every single employee to log in and write something positive to give them a false "glorious review". Yup, that is the kind of company this is. Lots of promises, terrible hours, some teams can't even take a lunch or they are frowned upon. Management acts like they are in 5th grade. Unless you are a favorite- I would run for the hills

We love lunchtime at Connect Search! We've built out our break room and you can often find teammates heading out to grab a bite to eat, meet with clients or enjoying lunch in the break room while catching up on the latest sports, news or game show on TV. We also love it when our hard work is recognized by our clients! Everyone here takes pride in their work and when someone is thoughtful enough to write a positive review, that is celebrated internally. Who doesn't like a pat on the back? Thank you for your feedback.
