Pros

none-- Recruiting is a unique field- not everyone can handle it, but management does a great job addressing all and any concerns, and really cares about you and your mental health

Cons

keep up the great work

Pros

Connexion is a breath of fresh air! I have been in staffing and recruiting for almost 10 years. It has always been fast-paced with constantly shifting priorities. I have worked on both an internal recruiting team, as well as for a staffing firm. Both places were very high stress and burnt me out quickly UNTIL I FOUND CONNEXION. There is no "dictatorship" like you will find at other firms. Account Managers and Recruiters are equals, working together as part of a team to accomplish a common goal. Connexion has a great team of employees- some just starting their career, others have been there for 10+ years. The owner is involved in every way you would want him to be- providing support, finding leads, and even sourcing candidates. The Manager takes on the brunt of the work and always looks for ways to make the staffs life easier. No matter how busy she is, she will always make time for you. You will always feel supported under her direction. Senior Management is constantly looking for ways to improve or give their employees more. Whether that means investing in better resources to help efficiency or providing employees additional PTO to help them prioritize a healthy work-life balance. Connexion offers remote flexibility in a hybrid model. Monday's and Friday's are work from home days, Tues-Thurs are collaboration days in the office. Full work setups are provided for your home office. Oh and they offer THE BEST commission structure in staffing.

Cons

Only downside is that I didn't find Connexion sooner.

Pros

It is a good opportunity for recent grads or a career change. No experience is needed to learn recruiting. This however is not specific to this agency. Many staffing agencies would hire and train entry level individuals.

Cons

They use a bait and switch model. The selling points they use when hiring are flexibility, capability to work remote, ability use this privilege as needed, promotes work life balance, and manager explicitly states that they are not a micromanager. They are in fact the most intense micromanager I have ever experienced. The lack of self awareness from management is shocking. The culture of the company promotes anxiety and does not cultivate trust. Managers expect employees to share everything, including details of their personal life, while managers don’t even let their teams know when they are taking a day off. Management treats adults like children, and takes measures to belittle and manipulate employees. Managers also choose to bully and intimidate individuals when they are unhappy with performance or behavior, rather than discussing the issue in a professional manner. Rules are made up on the fly, and toxic and inappropriate habits are cultivated by the company’s misaligned values. They also hold various employees to differing rules and standards. Favoritism is evident. The environment is toxic to the point that it makes employees act out of character, likely due to the immense strain on their mental health. My time at this company made me seriously consider taking my own life.
