Pros

Good pay when things are good.

Cons

Seems to only hire externally instead of redistributing man power to emerging needs. It feels like this leads to over staffing which is then followed by mass layoffs. Company has had many rounds of layoffs over the past ~decade and the environment feels very unstable even for the oil field. If not for the constant layoffs I would likely still work there. I left on my own - not associated with a layoff.

Pros

Great time off, competitive salary, great technical staff

Cons

Corporately struggles with risk, cost and need to over analyze everything. More work than life in the work/life balance than promised
