Pros

I really like working at Consolidated Fire Protection. I have worked for the company for a long time and truly enjoy it. The work is fast pace and there is always something to do, so you are never board watching the clock waiting for the day to end. A major reason I like working for the company, especially the Texas office is the room for growth! The Texas office is a new office that has only been open for 4-5 years now so there is a lot of opportunity for promotions and growth within the company, HOWEVER, you need to be willing to put in the work and show that you are willing to learn and take on new / additional task to help the company, and yourself, to excel. The holiday parties are another huge plus, they are always really fun and there is always a raffle with great prizes. everyone usually leaves with something! Management here is another reason i have stayed with the company, they are always willing to teach you and are very patient. Lastly- the pay and bonus structure is pretty good!

Cons

If you don't like a fast paced environment this is not the place for you. -work load, the workload is a lot at times but it helps the days go by fast.

Pros

My supervisors are very nice and easy to work with

Cons

Far too much and responsibility/work for $22 an hour. I see people come and go at this place and its most likely due the pay scale here. People constantly have to work OT just to keep up with the work load. I honestly see no growth here because we all get paid 22 and hour unless you are a senior. Some have harder jobs, and some have easier jobs, but we all get paid the same. I don't understand. I have not stopped looking for a job since I got hired here and that's a first for me. Too much work to go around and not enough money to compensate for it. If I'm going to be stressed out all the time at work at least pay me for it but no. Im stressed at work and stressed at home because I have no money. This job is not worth the stress for 22 an hour

Pros

Great entry level position. You will learn a lot and do a lot. It's all in the details. The PTO is pretty good.

Cons

You will learn as you go. The answers are not always in front of you. if you work hard and show dedication you'll move up.
