Pros

Free lunch, free gym inside the building

Cons

The main issue with working where as a sales rep is the uneven distribution of leads. They have a few top performers who are given the majority of the leads. Everyone else is given 1 maybe 2 new leads a day (sometimes zero), so you’re stuck calling the same list of about a hundred people all month long, many of whom have already blocked you or told you a big fat no. It is literally impossible to hit your goal, make a commission, or turn into a top performer without the opportunity to call new leads. You do not prospect our own leads- you can only call who you’re given. It is a spiral you are stuck in. You still make the company enough money for them to keep you for a few months without them having to pay you a commission. If your goal is 5 sales a day, and you’re managing to get 4, you still will not hit enough percentage of your goal to make a commission. The company essentially keeps you on for about six months until they let you go for failure to hit your (unrealistic) goal. I believe it is a businessmodel designed to make the company the most amount of money without having to properly compensate their employees. You are also basically required to work overtime every day. I was told by my manager that if I did not work OT every single day until I hit goal, it was evident that I did not want to work hard enough and that I was easily replaceable- and would be replaced. This was very different than the conversation I had with the hiring team, who made it clear that OT is not required, and that hitting goal is easily achievable within the 9-5 hours. This is probably the biggest lie they tell you.

Pros

I had health insurance for a while and my coworkers were sharp and great to work with.

Cons

The leadership creates a toxic, aggressive work environment and were constantly in disagreement, communicating different priorities to teams as a result (when they communicated any). Pulled 'fire alarms' to redo a product they hadn't looked at previously, which wasn't a good sign. Some employees were grossly underpaid compared to others and laid off when inquiring (fairly) of their manager/HR when they might be considered for equal pay for equal responsibilities. Leadership ousted other leadership overnight without a word. Leadership cultivated no confidence within the team and morale was incredibly low by the time they suddenly laid off 25 at a time.
