Thanks for your review! It has been a crazy, record-breaking winter in the greater Boston area and we completely understand the struggles many people faced during those months. Despite it all, we sincerely hope the shuttle service was something you were able to take advantage of while you were here. We’re always actively finding ways to help our employees get to work, blizzard or shine!

Pros

Sales incentives, no need to bring work home, team environment.

Cons

Management in sales is not up to par. Your manager will be nice one day but the second you start to slip, they'll ignore you. When you ask for help, forget it. They see asking for help as a sign of weakness. Favoritism if you are friends with the management, they'll give you sales the manager may have gotten that day instead of helping a struggling team member. There is supposedly a performance plan, but they only follow it if you are BFF's with a manager. They have no trouble firing you without following the plan, and when you confront HR about it, they say 'we try to be as fair as possible." Sure all the beer and soda and coffee is nice, but as the front lines of the company (you literally are the first person a trailer/customer will talk to) you are not allowed (well you "are" but only if you feel it will help you make sales, but it is time off of the phones) to go to company meetings to hear about, oh I don't know, price changes, product changes, new products, and in general anything new going on with the company. They just spring new things on you and expect you to adapt immediately. They also penalize you for their own mistakes. They base goals on past years data, but if THEY mess up, you suffer. Your paycheck suffers, your chances of having a job suffer. If no one hits 100% because the lead flow is 90% of what they expected, they don't adjust. Also, they tell college kids that this is an entry level position, but half of the floor doesn't have a college degree.

Pros

Some good people you will work with - free soda - good place to work at if you are not in sales or support

Cons

If you are a salesperson looking for a company where you can grow your career and become a better salesperson this is NOT the place for you. Incredible micromanagement with constant emphasis on call stats (dials, minutes on the phone, calls over 5 minutes, etc). You will have a manager constantly looking at these numbers and harassing you about it throughout the day (like emails at 11AM showing where you are and asking why you are behind pace). They require 80+ dials & 4 hours of talk time on the phone & 24 conversations over 2 minutes. You will be more focused on getting these call stats up than caring about your actual quota. You cant even go to the bathroom without fearing you will be behind pace Goals are extremely lofty and they do nothing to correct them if they are off in their predictions. For example one month nobody hit 100% and a good majority of people did not make any money in commission. They did nothing to correct this and with your base salary being so low you were making less that month than fast food employees. You absolutely have to bully/trick people in to paying for an account. You have to be heartless to be successful in doing this. People who should not be buying accounts like old ladies without a real business – it doesn’t matter….get them signed up! Management/coaches will constantly pressure you into uncomfortably asking people for their credit card on the very first call. You need to get 8 sales a day at this job and if you have any success in doing this you will feel guilty you tricked someone into paying for an account. Lastly there is no room for career advancement. You are stuck and they will keep bringing in new batches of people. They hire anyone - including people who did not graduate - because they know they burn out their salespeople so fast. They usually give 1-2 “promotions” a year in which 40 people are battling for and usually the person who sucks up the most to authority gets it
