Pros

Fantastic colleagues/direct supervisor in day-to-day work, strong DEI /ERG community and network, broad support for volunteer opportunities and other community outreach efforts, good benefits (including generous parental leave).

Cons

Coworkers outside of Jackson area may have a harder time making strong connections (small office locations can be particularly isolating). The last few years have been challenging for the culture, and DEI/ERG efforts can be inaccessible to some coworkers depending on their role/area. Company loyalty is not valued. Upper management/leadership seems to direct from a place of fear, resorting to approaches that lack transparency, proactive thought, or care for employees, and in some cases appear retaliatory. Increased workload or responsibilities may not correspond with increased pay - in-job promotions are harder to come by after Career & Reward Framework updates a couple of years ago, so internal job changes are the main vehicle for raises outside of annual ~3% merit increases. Employees are generally eligible for internal job transfers after 1 year in a position (some specific cases vary), but the company can and will alter this policy to employees' detriment without advance notice if leadership determines it's necessary, effectively stalling career growth and incentivizing high achieving employees to leave the company.
