Pros
Contec is more like a community or a family. People care, you make many friends at work and we take care of each other in times of need - when you or a loved one is sick or suffers a loss, you get help/support in the form of encouragement, donated PTO time, and grace from others. When you want to get new skills, you just ask your boss or HR and they help you on the path. When you think a process isn't working or there are difficulties, you can escalate and things are done about it. Your manager tries to remove the blocks or at least explains why it cannot and asks for other input on how to make it easier to deal with or smaller tweaks that don't need approvals. Every day is different. Benefits and pay are good (the raise freeze was lifted a while back and it was more than expected). Hours are good Mon-Fri 7a-330p, overtime is not mandatory, but its offered when available. The environment is light, cool, and safe.
Cons
Sometimes change takes a while, there are lots of inputs from other departments and customers and compliance regulations that must be followed. Communication could be better but they are trying to make sure everyone has the information and training needed to produce great products for our customers.
