      Continental is coming out of the crisis stronger.

      Pros

      Very EBIT focussed, strong back up from Schaeffler family and sensible support and management style.

      Cons

      Employees needs to be put on the forefront than anyone else. Debts could be payed 3 years later, but employees and their knowledge need to stay to even grow further.

      Pros

      General freedom to complete projects as I saw best. Management was hands off. Mergers and acquisitions occuring that led to management not able to micromanage.

      Cons

      Communication was one sided about short term items and objectives (employee to management). A strategic direction was set, but due to ongoing acquisitions, the direction kept changing or didn't seem to have action.

      1. Good engineering expertise 2. Products made are pretty good

      1. More a local than a global company mentality 2. Benefits not as good as previous (American) company 3. Project and short timeline causes 'If customers don't complain, it means we got away with it' mentality 4.
