Pros

None really. The hours are ok and you get a decent amount of vacation.

Cons

Stuck in the past. New ideas 0. Employee moral is lowest priority. Union/staff conflict.

Pros

Extremely professional management; overall good work/life balance. Pay and benefits are very competitive and for the most part there are clear career paths.

Cons

Decisionmaking and approval process can sometimes be slower than for smaller companies, but this is not unusual for corporations of this size.

Pros

Perfect environment to start or to boost your professional career. Fresh and highly motivated team with a good blend of vast experience and new additions to the topic of automotive engineering. Great opportunity to work with and to shape top technology for autonomous driving. Being a full part and at the forefront of the current hype in the automotive industry is amazing. Even as a starter you are engaged and involved from day one. Hands-on experience as well as high level skills are passed on very efficiently. Within brief period of time you are a full member of the world-wide Continental family. The core values are not just there by definition, but are really lived in daily work. Great commitment from the local managers being a perfect role model and living authentically the true work ethics of engineering. The location is amazing. Next to the pacific ocean just on the bluff. Great benefits. Above average payment and every day free lunch. Continental is really investing in its employees and is looking for a long term commitment. Aside from your technical knowledge there is a big focus on training soft skills in order to foster good team work, but also to share feedback openly. Thus efficiently working together with a lot of positive motivation and fun is ensured. Although Continental is a German based company, they are striving with diversity. Especially at this location it feels more like a start-up, but with the benefit of a well established company culture, absolute stable financing, professional processes and a down to earth local management.

Cons

There are simply no downsides. Perfect environment to strive for success. Definitely a long term commitment for a mutual fruitful employer - employee relationship. The only negative aspect is: it can't get any better in any other location or with any other technology or with any other company. So whenever you decide to move on for any non-work related reason, you are trapped. You will have a tough time to find something comparable to that. Reasons for moving on include, e.g. living in the area close to this location is kind of expensive, so if you planning on having a big house and a big family. That is tough even with the over average payment from the employer...
