Pros

Many coworkers I’ve worked alongside are incredibly dedicated and consistently go above and beyond to get the job done, even when resources feel stretched thin. In my experience, budgeting and leadership priorities sometimes didn’t seem fully aligned with the day-to-day needs of the teams doing the frontline work. From the inside, the company felt like it was facing more financial and operational pressures than its public image suggested. Overall, it was a demanding environment that required a lot of personal sacrifice from employees who truly cared about the mission

Cons

In my time here, the company grew extremely fast, but in my opinion it felt like many foundational systems, processes, and resources weren’t scaled at the same pace. This left day-to-day operations feeling chaotic and unsustainable at times. From my perspective, leadership often appeared more focused on immediate survival than on long-term investments in infrastructure, compliance, or IT security. When outside auditors or assessments pointed out areas that needed attention, it frequently felt like the recommended fixes were deprioritized or delayed because of budget and staffing constraints. For almost two years, spending on pretty much anything non-essential was frozen or severely restricted. Raises, bonuses, and recognition were rare for most roles outside of a small handful of senior pilots. Support staff, mechanics, instructors, and others worked incredibly hard for wages that, in my view and compared to industry norms, felt very low. Beyond the financial strain, the internal culture and day-to-day management style were a big disappointment for me. When things went wrong, it often felt like employees were left to fend for themselves rather than being supported or protected by leadership. Overall, this was one of the most stressful and least supportive workplaces I’ve experienced. I would personally caution anyone—especially pilots, mechanics, or safety-critical staff—against joining unless they hear that core issues have been meaningfully addressed

Pros

First year I seemingly made more than I would at a major. Schedule was 4-5 days on with up to 3 days off in between. Nice pilots and ground crew.

Cons

Broken planes and upset customers are the norm. Not much opportunity to participate in other markets unless people call out. Then they disrupt your off days to handle said call outs. I can’t say enough how quid pro quo contour feels. Pay feels low for the bar of expectations and sacrifices.
