Technical debt is a huge issue while upper management doesn't really seem to have knowledge of what's actually going on at the development level. They continue to make largely impactful decisions without realizing the added burden it's gonna put on those actually keeping the company afloat. Pretty stingy with salaries that don't keep up with inflation much less added work load.
