Pros

Flexible scheduling, good potential for fast typists and those who can maximize shortcuts.

Cons

Minimum production goals a bit high for most average typists to maintain. At only 20 hours a week, I started flaring with carpal tunnel way before hitting their minimum production goals to start receiving raises. Some indication it has changed since then, but they also provided very little leeway for shift break / lunch breaks - if going to the bathroom took longer than 5 minutes, you were automatically clocked out for a 15-minute time period, having to then work longer to cover your minimum work time agreed to that day.

Thank you for your honest feedback! We are pleased to see that you enjoyed our unparalleled flexibility during your time working in our Tallahassee office, and that you recognized the potential for increased pay for those who improve their stats. I'm sorry to hear that you were suffering from carpal tunnel symptoms that may have kept you from being able to hit production. That can happen, and this job certainly is not for everyone. We try to offer advice on how to balance out adequate speed and physical comfort via taking enough breaks, ergonomical equipment, and using the most macros you can. I am also pleased to tell you that the Tallahassee office has recently rolled out changes to the break policy to make it much more flexible for everyone. Should you be interested in resuming scribe work in the future, the management team there will happily fill you in on the new and improved break system! Thank you again for the time you spent with us and for your helpful review. We wish you all the best with your future endeavors!

Pros

I can confidently say that I genuinely enjoyed working at this job. If you are a fast typer, have good listening skills, and your grammar is solid, you will do great. The company culture was everything that I was looking for in a job. Everyone was super nice. Management was young and chill. They acknowledged you and your performance. Even though there were a lot of employees, I felt noticed. I went from starting out making $8.00 an hour to $13 at the end of my time working here. You create your own schedule and they also work with you when it comes to mid-terms/finals since the vast majority of people here are students. It was nice to just come into work, sit down, not have to talk to anybody, and just type away.

Cons

It takes some time to adjust to this job, especially if you are not familiar with financial jargon. I would suggest to learn more about what they are actually saying and what some of the terms actually mean if you want to get better. It's totally not necessary but it definitely helped me. Also, your hands will hurt since you are typing for long periods of time.

Thank you for the stellar feedback!! We are so very pleased that you enjoyed so many things from your time working in our Athens, Georgia office, from the management team there to the production-based pay, flexible schedule, and the general office culture! You are so right that while studying up on your financial jargon isn't necessary to do, it helps. That's great advice, thank you! And with the potential for pain the hands from typing, each office has begun posting up charts with various stretches that can be done to ease or prevent any discomfort caused by typing or sitting at desk. We also allow for and encourage people to take breaks throughout their shift to give themselves a rest, a stretch, etc! Once again, thank you for this feedback. We wish you a wonderful holiday season and an awesome 2020!
