You will get no recognition for your work from upper management. The organization is full of managers but there are no leaders here. If they like you, you will get promoted regardless of qualifications. To many company politics which puts people in positions they are not qualified for and to make up for this they put everyone who is qualified to do that job under the new manager who doesn't know anything and when everything is going well upper management congratulates the new manager for all their hard work and the people actually doing all the work don’t get recognized. And if the project fails they blame the people under them and not the new manager who knows nothing. There is no process to develop anyone, if you ask how you get from point A to B for your career they won’t give a straight answer to you, or there won’t be any follow up. If you ask for promotions you are typically told we will think about it or we will talk about it but chances are any role you may ask for has already been set aside for someone else and you will have to wait for one. There are no reviews ever, although that seems to be changing but i still only ever had 1 review in almost 3 years and only because I got our entire department to start asking for one. The benefits are horrible, you will have no work/life balance unless you move into management or you live across the street from the job. Upper management only play politics and won’t change in their ways so if you have new ideas you won’t get any support. Corbins is always trying to use the newest tech but it’s implemented at a slow pace because there is no by in from the senior management running everything. The culture and values all sounds great but most managers don’t follow them.
