Pros

Company has been around for a long time. They are one of the biggest lead generators in the industry. You can learn a lot working here.

Cons

Their biggest client which made up 50% of their revenue quit using them. Not a very smart business model. They recently laid off 20% of the company yet they were still hiring.

Pros

No pros really! I made a mistake joining this company

Cons

- Managers micromanage - you took 47 min for lunch today, you checked your mobile phone 5 times today etc - benefits so so - they still make you file timesheet every week, this is so lame. - I was not treated well by my manager multiple times and still with the company. I did complain but they did nothing basically. - no learning at all, they make Java engineers work on xml most of the time, really old proprietary framework - you have to inform 3-4 weeks in advance to take 1 day leave and 3-4 months in advance for 1 week. You have to give explanation why you were sick and if you were really sick? - salary not great

While we are disappointed this was the experience of one of our former team members, we happen to believe this is not the representation of the majority of our team at CDM. The majority of our employees embrace our culture. Our internal talent metrics, tenure, career growth and engagement all indicate the satisfaction of the team. Sure, every company has elements they can work on, but the issues indicated in this review are not of the commonly requested upon improvements. With this said, we would like to address the specific concerns mentioned in this review. Thanks in advance for reading on and listening to the other side of this story. Like any other fast paced organization, the speed at which we introduce new, quality products, requires an all hands on deck approach. Many times, we have more ideas and product considerations that we have time, tough problem, however, this does require us to account for where all of our time goes. By no means does this mean we micromanage time, more importantly we track time to projects so that we may be accountable for where our time goes. This enables us to be better educated on the time and resources it takes to launch new products, and allows us to monitor our need for internal tools and consistently look for methods to better optimize our approach. The monitoring of lunch hours and cell phone usage is not our standard approach. We empower everyone we hire to bring their personal best every single day. We were founded in 1999 and built out the majority of our technology in house. This technology has stood the test of time and is the foundation of our infrastructure. Migrating from a proprietary framework to something new requires careful consideration. We are continuously updating frameworks, systems and processes, in a systematic approach that enables our ability to maximize our revenue and profit on a daily basis. Our proprietary framework and tools allow us to launch dozens of tests each week and optimize our marketing campaigns so we stay well ahead of the competition. In the last 3 years, our CTO has led the charge in upgrading our infrastructure and applications at an unprecedented pace, making our technologies and our ability to maintain and deliver them increasingly better. Our benefits are fantastic and include medical, dental and vision plans that are highly competitive with any other company in the industry. We also offer a 401K plan where we match 100% up to 4% of the employee’s contribution. Asking for time off is no different from any other company. If you want to take a week off from work you ask your manager for the time off and the business needs to be able to accommodate the employees being out of the office. We encourage our employees to take time off, we just ask that it be planned so that projects and deadlines can still be met. The average team member takes at least 3 weeks of vacation per year and many have families on the other side of the globe and go on vacation for 3-4 weeks at the time. In addition, our salaries are highly competitive and shopped with the market annually. Any complaints to HR regarding a manager or any other employee are taken very seriously. Each complaint is unique and looked into and addressed accordingly. If there is an issue with a manager we work with that manager and provide training so that they handle each situation in the best way possible. We are very proud of our employees and their dedication and belief in what we do here at CDM. Do us a favor, come in and see for yourself, we have a lot to offer.
