While working at Barghausen Consulting Engineers, Inc. I can honestly say this is an amazing company to work for. The Board of Directors and Executive staff are kind, compassionate and always looking of ways to put the employees first. Your hard work does not go unnoticed and they constantly are showing praise to the staff. When Covid-19 struck the country, the IT department, Human Resources, and the Board of Directors stopped everything to assure the staff safety was the number one priority. With the majority of the staff still working remotely business has not slowed down! It showed how strong and stable this company is no matter the obstacles that are put forward. Before Covid-19 and social distancing took place, Barghausen would do monthly events such as bowling, wine and painting nights, escape rooms, boat parties, food truck deliveries and catered lunches, all free of charge for employees. The recreational team plans dodgeball and pickleball tournaments, marathon races, group hikes, skiing and snowboarding trips to Crystal Mountain, and so much more. Every January, the company plans an Annual Party to show appreciate to the staff for all the accomplishments from the previous year. Let me tell you, these parties do not disappoint! For salaries and benefits, the company is very competitive in comparison to other firms. Barghausen pays 100% employee Medical, Dental, Vision, Long-Term Disability and Life insurance costs. Currently the company also pays 50% of dependent coverage while contributing to employee's Health Saving Accounts for those employees who select that medical plan. They are very generous with their Paid-Time Off (PTO) policy and encourage employees to take time off. In 2020, Barghausen Consulting Engineers, Inc. got ranked #23 on Seattle Business Magazine's 100 Best Companies to Work For! This is a very big milestone for this company as we only expect to move higher on that list as the years progress. I am very grateful and honored to work at this company. They encourage growth, continuing education, progress, kindness and compassion.
