Great pay, learn a lot about yourself, good experience/step in the door for any Law enforcement path. Weapons qualification Cpr training

Cons

Very poor training program(COVID-19 has affected all hands on aspects of learning). You get “thrown into the fire” very frequently, which makes it a negative experience for many new Correctional Officers. Days off are random and not guaranteed. Current staffs work ethic is questionable which directly affects everyone that is new or working with those particular people everyday.
