While you are absolutely correct that CoreCivic like most non-government companies is a for-profit company, I disagree with your statement that making a profit trumps safety. CoreCivic is very transparent and has published a first in our industry ESG report that shows where we focus our efforts. Pros

They feed us everyday and it feels like a family. Easy to advance and extremely enjoyable.

Cons

Inmates will try to push your buttons and make you feel unwanted or try to get you to bring in contraband. I have seen at least two guards arrested for it.
