Pros

Perfect work-life balance, no micromanagement, managers trust you to do your job and get things done. I am seeing more and more cross functional cooperation between departments, too. Promotions from within are encouraged.

Cons

This is a man's world. A white man's world. If you are a minority, there is an obvious glass ceiling and you will likely never promote above Director level. There are white guys in jobs way over their head while women do the heavy lifting behind the scenes and all the women see it. Pay could be better.
