Pros

Very supportive management and administration; you are given as much responsibility and autonomy as you [feel] you can handle. The company, and my facility, appreciate hard work and tell you how much they appreciate you. The Employee Engagement Committee is very involved and constantly doing things for the staff to make them feel appreciated and bolster morale. Many of the staff have been here for a long time, giving new(er) employees solid mentors and years of experience to learn from.

Cons

None so far...after a year, I honestly look forward to coming to work each day.

Decent pay. Has its moments.

Cons

Core Civic preaches community, family, values, ethics. Its all BS. Will sell you down the river in a heartbeat. Corporate only cares about profits and then more profits, All at the expense, health, and well being of their employees. That's corporate. Local management cant be trusted and will backstab you in a heartbeat. It's all about the company you keep, not the type of work ethic you have.
