Graduate student stipend and benefits afford good lifestyle in Ithaca. High quality researchers and labs available. World class libraries and subscriptions to journals and services.

Cons

Very poor career development resources overall, especially for Ph.D. students seeking non-academic career tracks. Remote location makes travel for research or other purposes difficult.
