Pros

Its a good way for undergraduate to gain experience when they are still in college and you get to know new people.

Cons

You have to work at least 5 hours per week and during assignments times you have to work more and the salary is not very high.

Pros

It was a lot of fun to interact with intelligent and inquisitive students. Always enjoyed the challenge of presenting new ideas and concepts to students.

Cons

Prep work, grading, meetings take up a lot of time - perhaps more hires will make this process easier. Also, it would help to get more specialized graders so that teaching assistants can concentrate on best presenting the material.

Pros

I really enjoyed my time at the Cornell university library. I got to work with great people and do really fun and interesting projects. Everyone I met was excited about their work and helpful.

Cons

The library is very old school and resistant to change. It's hard to get some people to see the new and better ways of doing things that technology allows us. Some staff members have been working there for decades. This probably isn't as much of a problem any more with the staff reductions that happened after the recession but still could be.
