Pros

There is a love hate relation with working at Cornell. The love parts are the smart dedicated researchers and labs. For some people the scenery, affordable homes, and family friendly environment are pluses.

Cons

The hate part is the isolation. It affects the dating scene, the promptness with which people graduate, and the momentum with which people get things done. It also leads to a peculiar brand of politics among the faculty.

Pros

There are so many opportunities at Cornell University for you to learn, take variety classes, join social events and mingle with fellow students. The student insurance Cornell offers has great coverage, much better than many other colleges.

Cons

It is a ivy league school, so some professors may seem to be distant and high level up. It is best to use some caution if you plan on pointing out their mistakes.

Pros

It's the worlds famous university and has its own expert in each field. Working with people with a diversity background is really interesting and inspiring.

Cons

Because of the academic environment, the job is not as competitive as in the industry, and of course the compensation is not as good as the industry too.
