Pros

First and foremost, the residents are the best reason to work here.

Cons

Unfortunately, management leaves a LOT to be desired.

Thank you for recognizing our residents are the reason we do what we do. Each of our team members in every role contributes to our residents' positive outlook and fulfillment. And for that, we are grateful. Your comments about our management counters what we hear from residents and co-workers in anonymous surveys, hallway conversations, online reviews and letters. We would like to learn more about your perspective and invite you to contact our management team at Corporate@CountryMeadows.com. We hope you are doing well in your new endeavor.

Poor management

Pros

The residents are the best part, start earning PTO immediately, not much else, some great coworkers, the food is really good

Cons

Some of the worst management I have ever seen. They treat you very poorly, they are oblivious to what is actually going on, no respect. The pay is low for everything considered. High turnover rate. Management will tell you to do something and then write you up when you do it. There's no pleasing management, no positive feedback, no appreciation. Lots of negative competition between some coworkers and shifts and IF management does get involved, they have skewed ideas of what's going on and takes the side of the party that whines the loudest. Management stops by for 30 seconds, asks if you need help, and then moves on and is never seen again for the day but then calls you to their office to discuss you not "working" which they heard from the same previous whiny coworker. They clearly can't observe you working or not working because they aren't ever around so therefore they think those who actually do work aren't working and those that don't work are doing all the work.

Unfortunate Experience

Pros

Employee benefits, worked with my personal schedule. Freedom to express ideas with managers. Good relationships with the residents.

Cons

Management was terrible; very disconnected from front-line staff. Unrealistic expectations of the position and very facade oriented. Extremely high stress, high turn-over. Poor communication between managers. Unproductive meeting heavy. Managers were largely unhelpful and the company is very management heavy making directions and goals confusing.

Thank you for your time spent with our team and for sharing ideas with your managers. Working in health care is very challenging and it takes a very special person to care for others. Thank you for being one of these people. In our industry turnover is very, very high and Country Meadows works hard to hire the best people and retain good co-workers. We conduct yearly surveys to measure employee satisfaction, and we work hard to provide a generous benefits package and fair wages. Your comments about management and staffing issues are concerning. Please contact our Human Resources Team at the Home Office so we can look into your concerns. We look forward to hearing from you.
