Pros
The work environment was fine. I was excited because I have a broader skillset than most of the other techs and there were a lot of areas I knew I could help them with. At the beginning I was specifically asked to make observations and submit suggestions as to how to improve the department's service level. Looking back I hope none of my suggestions got any other TAPS fired.
Cons
To get this temp job took almost two months of phone and email tag, endless forms, faxes and pledges, 4 trips to Riverside, extremely invasive drug test and background check, two interviews and a mostly unnecessary orientation session intended for healthcare staff. I was let go after less than three weeks on the job due to a single negative comment from one employee.
