Pros

They will train new workers in many departments with available programs permit. Well lite paved parking lots for employee safety.

Cons

So many employees you become a number. If you get a pay raise due to years of experience you are on probation all over again, like a new hired employee.

Pros

Great benefits. Good People, gives you a sense of accomplishment working for the County.

Cons

Regular office politics. By the book as far as rules and regulations go (no leeway), standard raise values.

Pros

Decent pay. Large Department with numerous opportunities.

Cons

The large size is not effectively handled from a human resources perspective. I worked there for many years. You are just a number and the turn over is horrible. The training officers seem to be proud when they can fail a trainee.
