Pros

Incredible purpose and values. I see lots of pride in working here. My department is large, cohesive and well-invested in - I love it! Employees here are very good at what they do and care about each other. New company name and brand in February 2026 marks a new chapter for us. New programs launching all the time, innovative company and senior leaders.

Cons

Can feel very HQ-centric - and I'm not at HQ. High expectations that are unclear at times. Empowered to do my work, but then over-reviewed. Like many company divisions, the intuitions seem siloed and say they work for the institution, not Covista.

Pros

One of the few pros from working at Adtalem (Covista), was when they used to have Summer Fridays and truly cared about their employees.

Cons

One of the biggest downsides of working for this organization was the lack of transparency from leadership, including the C-suite, VPs, directors, and direct supervisors. The company describes itself as “fast-paced,” but much of that appears to stem from high turnover rather than healthy growth. Layoffs and job eliminations seem to be common. In my experience, advancement often depended more on office politics than performance. There was limited opportunity for growth unless you were favored by upper management, and favoritism in promotions was noticeable during my time there. Leadership turnover was also frequent, which created instability. Many senior leaders seemed disconnected from day-to-day realities and often remained in their roles for only a year or two before being replaced or removed. Compensation was below market value, and annual merit increases were often delayed to the following year, with raises typically capped around 4–5% despite heavy workloads and expectations. It was also difficult to raise concerns openly. Speaking with directors or challenging the status quo could backfire, which discouraged honest communication. Overall, I would not recommend this organization unless you are in urgent need of employment and are comfortable with low pay, limited growth opportunities, and feeling undervalued.

I learned so much in my time with the organization. - You're going to work with a lot of really smart, talented people. -It's a big organization so you're going to have a variety of career pathways to explore.

Cons

-Because Covista is so large, project management and general organization was a challenge.
