Great Company To Work For!

Pros

I have been with Cowan for 6 1/2 years on the brokerage side of the business. The personable, family feel of the company is evident from the moment you start. This was my first job out of college and I’ve been given every opportunity to learn and succeed. From the top down, this is a very well run company. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a job offering professional development and opportunity. They are very big on promoting from within. It’s great to be apart of a company that treats you as a person, not just a number.

Cons

Very few. Every job has it’s ups and downs. The trucking industry in general is not for everyone. If you don’t like an environment that is fast paced and unpredictable, this job is probably not for you.

Was close to home to care for wife

Cons

Really bad atmosphere, employees treated terrible. Because family said I was changing, couldn’t do it anymore, and had to quit or lose family and sanety. None stay more than 1, 1 1/2 years, don’t care about hot they talk to you. Theres no home time w 12 to 14 hr days then complain that you look tired. Bad people

Thank you for your feedback. We know that our industry can require a longer day at times, especially for our leaders in operations, and we compensate our operations people who have to work a longer day than usual due to hiccups that may arise. We also balance things out by jumping in to help each other when needed, it’s a team effort and we back each other up. We also have team meetings and one on one meetings to discuss concerns and ideas, and we encourage our people to take part. This let’s us know what’s on everyone’s mind, and helps us get better at what we do. Thank you again for your feedback, and we wish you the best.
