      There’s an irony in marketing leadership whose name suggests sweetness and a confectionary treat, as the experience can feel anything but. Year over year, turnover within marketing raises concerns about how people are supported or forced out by marketing leadership. The team is often asked to promote offerings that outpace current delivery capabilities. Advancement can feel closely tied to fitting into an established inner circle. If you don't fit in, then you won't go far. Most that don't look a certain way, do not go far.
