Pros

The benefits, hybrid onsite work model, and PTO are great. Nice facilities as well.

Cons

Cox historically offered a positive workplace environment; however, recent developments have diminished its appeal as an employer. Notably, the company has consistently exhibited a reluctance to promote employees or acknowledge exceptional performance. Over the past few years, this issue has been exacerbated by indecisive leadership regarding organizational structure. This uncertainty has led to frequent restructuring, often assigning employees to roles that do not align with their skills or interests. Moreover, despite the dedication and hard work of the staff to meet challenging deadlines and manage substantial workloads, performance reviews frequently rate employees below the 'meets expectations' level. Additionally, there appears to be a significant gap in leadership training and practice at various levels within the company. Numerous employees have reported receiving unexpectedly poor performance reviews, a lack of awareness from leaders about their work, and cancellations of one-on-one meetings, which further hampers effective communication. Given these circumstances, I would advise caution in joining Cox until it addresses these structural and leadership challenges comprehensively.

Pros

Decent wage, 4 day work week, PTO

Cons

Pay is subpar for scope of work, demanding, clueless leadership, education means nothing, depending on the state you work in, you will be treated differently. No room for job growth unless you move to a busy state. Stay away from CA and head towards NV or AZ if you want to make career advancements. Health insurance sky rocketing.
