Pros

Benefits, flexibility in schedule, nice cafeteria

Cons

Lots of people getting nothing done. It's all about relationships and who you know. Many have been with there for many years, cannot excel anywhere else. Issues fall on deaf ears.

Pros

Cox is a company that tries to act in the best interest of their customers and employees. The CEO is the great-grandson of the founder and so far (at least up until the time I left) he appears to be adhering to those core values that make this a great company to work for

Cons

While the company overall is great there are certain departments I recommend staying away from within corporate if you are not a certain personality type. The environment is not designed for individuals who get ahead on work quality. You must actively work to build personal relationships with managers to get ahead. People are promoted more on their social graces than work abilities. Also, decision making is impacted by this because everyone is eager to please rather than provide thoughtful input.

Pros

Good pay, benefits, work to life balace(depending on department) , able to work from home(depending on department), great name to have on resume.

Cons

The department I was hired for was going thru alot of changes and I wish I was made aware of that prior to that time then my decision to work for CE would have been different. It was very political and bias and driven by one employee and the main person saying yes or no to who should remain while management listened. At the beginning it was good and exciting and toward the end it wasnt good at all. The layoff process should have been handled better and different. New management really didnt take the time to get to know anyone. Education and degrees are definietly not of value. Management brought in people they knew for roles and kept who they wanted based on one employee. No real training structure.
