Pros

Fun environment at times, really good tips in the AM

Cons

The management has no backbone when it comes to guests in the wrong, and keeping around employees who dont do their job properly.

Pros

Employee discounts is always an advantage 50% of meal while on clock. Depending on your PAR level you get 10, 25 or up to 35% off clock. One of the best thing that kept me with the company for many years is the easy transfer. So whenever I had to move cities/state I still had a job! Company allows much flexibility with scheduling.

Cons

You are rarely out at schedule time. For new employees you may not even be kept for your short full shift. Sometimes you may have to cross train into another position just to get your desired hours.

Pros

Ummmmmmm, no tip share. Can request off pretty easily. More downtime than other restaurants.

Cons

Will never work your way up, but you don't want to! Trainers work their butts off and it's a "privilege"...no benefits for you. No respect for employees who have worked there many years. No thank you's. No appreciation. Cracker Barrel cares about themselves and that's it.
