Pros

Loved working for the company, the benefits are great, and products are amazing. Love the culture and time and energy the Crain family puts into the company.

Cons

Company is still in transition in corporate level. Finance managers are all new and really haven't grasped their niche yet. Zero diversity. Can count on one hand how many African Americans there are. Full of white men and women making decisions. Sad.

Pros

Friendly co-workers, company committed to community service, located in a secure part of Detroit, fun perks like Detroit events periodically, networking event opportunities.

Cons

Little room for long-term growth, meaning there is a high turnover in lower-level creative jobs - Crain's lays off & hire someone new months later - poor use of resources. Not an inspiring atmosphere for a creative, strict brand guidelines which kill reasonable artistic freedom, leadership is not always strong, company is often very much stuck in old ways.

Pros

After hours support was minimal. Office location is good. Some of my co-workers taught me a lot - it was a great place to learn new things.

Cons

Compensation was below average, and there was a lot of cronyism. I remember they had a network administrator in Detroit who was utterly clueless - obviously promoted to that position for non-skill reasons.
