Pros

Crain's lets you work in journalism for a decent salary which is nothing to sneeze at these days. I was able to learn a lot by focusing on the business and policy side of the beat I covered and had access to sources in high places.

Cons

I wouldn't say the editing was great, so my quality of writing kind of stagnated there. Also all the stories are behind a paywall and readership seems limited.
