Pros

I came to Crain in June of 2020 after spending 20 years in the newspaper business. I've been impressed by the company's investment in its employees, its communication (we have quarterly updates on the company's progress and regular email updates), its openness to feedback and its focus on our wellbeing during the pandemic. Crain treats its employees as assets, not as expenses, which is a major difference from the newspaper industry. It offers a competitive salary and benefits and also offers opportunities to move up, so if you're not in the perfect role right away, there are chances to find a different one. And if you're looking to learn new skills, the company will help you in that process. Working here has been a great career move.

Cons

None, although Crain does look for employees who are adaptable and open to learning new skills, so if you're not looking to adapt to a digital world, this isn't the place for you.
