Pros

Been at Crain for many years. Love the atmosphere and people I work with. With the new generation of Crain taking the lead, many positive changes are occurring bringing great talent to the organization.

Cons

Company is still in the midst of change to break down publication silos. Change is hard for some but we're still heading in the right direction.

Pros

Small company willing to take chances on new ideas, very good pay for media, family owned. Promotes those who deserve to be promoted.

Cons

High deductible health plan with little prescription benefits. This happened a few years ago and is a big con. Very old school in some ways. Little flexibility to work from home or flex time. No room for advancement unless someone leaves.

I have worked at several media companies and Crain is the most rewarding on so many levels. Their culture encourages new ideas and the company is stable and overall a very nice place to work in the city. Very happy I have found a home at Crain

Cons

Large work load, but that is common every where. High deductible health plan is unfortunate.
