Pros

Good benefits and stable company

Cons

Company has reduced sizes of markets so much it leaves you with little opportunity to grow as a MAM. The focus on the metrics over production is excessive to the point that they only manage via the crm. Extremely high turnover in sales. Be careful when you leave because you are on a non compete and they will come after you if you go to another finance company even if you live in a state where non competes are not legal, they will send threatening letters to scare you, your family and your new employer. Company will not hesitate to cost you your new job. They are ruthless when you leave and will bad mouth you every chance they get after you leave. The claim of being a great place to work is a farce as they constantly ask you to give good reviews on their surveys and if you give a bad one there are repercussions from your director.

Pros

The only pros I can think of working for Credit Acceptance is the salary. Starting rate use to be $14. Because of the economy, friends have told me they now start you off anywhere from $9.50 to $12.00 depending on your collection experience.

Cons

Horrible place to work for and hectic working hours. Hours 5:00am till 9:00pm. Six days aweek. Some shifts are from 12noon to 9pm plus weekends and holidays. They are only closed 2days a year for Christmas and 4th of July. They work you to the bone, and expect you to be greatful to them because they are paying you. Performance reviews are monthly, threatening, and stressful. You feel like your walking on egg shells and you can be fired for anything at anytime. You have to read off a script to the customer and if you slightly get off the script, you get dinged for it on your "Performance Review". If you dont make bonus, it's an automatic "your not a good collector". It's a cut throat environment. Your rated on how many promises you get from customers and how many promises are kept. Other employees steal your promises just to make goal and bonus, management doesnt do anything about even though they say it's addressed. No team work only "You have to look out for yourself just to try to hold on to your job".
