Pros

Fun working environment, lots of different things going on, and you have the opportunity to get involved in nearly any project that interests you. Management is amazingly good for a company that is growing as fast as it is. They haven't fallen prey to some of the ego centric issues that tend to surface in a highly successful startup. Excellent downtown San Francisco location. They make a product to be proud of. The company recognizes and rewards exceptional efforts. Looking for a raise or promotion, it's all about what you do and not who you know.

Cons

Growth is so fast that the company can't keep up with office space, meaning you move quite a bit from desk to desk, floor to floor, office to office. Working area is quite loud, be prepared to wear noise blocking headphones/earphones.

Pros

Credit Karma is an amazing place to work. I think it can be difficult to truly appreciate what's going on here if you don't have a lot of experience working elsewhere, but there is huge opportunity as a company and for individual contributors, too. The company has done a great job of hiring people who can not only do their job well, but mesh well with the very fun, open, quirky culture. The founder and his vision are fantastic, and I always believe that the fish stinks from the head -- what's going on at the top is going to drive all else, and even more so at a generally smaller, more nimble company.

Cons

For less experienced people who don't quite know how to make suggestions, drive initiatives or propose change, it might not feel like the most exciting place to work. But if you have a vision and know how to strategize and then get things done, it's a dream. You'll get the resources and support you need to try virtually anything -- you just need the wherewithal and maturity to figure it out. And if you don't know how and ask, someone will help you.

A good learning experience

Pros

I've had to do a lot of learning on the job, which is good if you can be more independent and responsible, but if you need a lot of training, this might be a barrier for you. I like the culture a lot because it's relatively relaxed and fun, yet still professional. People get their work done but still manage to have a good time. We have a stocked kitchen although the spread hasn't been as good ever since the company started growing rapidly. But at least we still get snacks. We have a variety of social events pretty regularly and they're usually really fun. Management is pretty approachable but that might change as the company continues growing. Who knows. Even though we are growing, I think there is still room for professional growth as long as you're ambitious enough. Overall, I love working here because I learn a lot, like the culture, and believe I can grow professionally.

Cons

We are growing rapidly and that might change things a lot
