Pros

+Great pay for Indiana, Industry-competitive benefits +Fantastic and thorough training! I've learned so much working here and other employees (management, maintenance, or support team) are always enthusiastic to teach when learning opportunities arise +Environment where it feels like everyone genuinely wants you to grow and succeed +Great people work here and have your back

Cons

-Your Area Director easily makes or breaks your career satisfaction at Crew. Most of them are fine, but if your AD feels like they still have something to prove? Good luck. -Variable hours and scheduling guidelines aren't for everyone- If you need a consistent sleep schedule, this job is not for you. Managers work at least 5 days, with some days starting at 5:30am (or earlier) and others ending at 10pm (or later). Shift times are dependent on customer volume as well. You may start late, stay late, come in early, or leave early depending on the staffing needs of the store that day. -When exceptional performance is the expectation, it stops being exceptional. This is something I've learned the hard way working here. Not willing to show up at 3am to begin snow removal? Cloth arrived and you can't come back after close to help install it because you have prior commitments? Store has staffing issues and you're not out talent scouting on your days off? Be ready for those things to bite you on your next performance appraisal or AD huddle. -Culture of toxic positivity. Concerns are always downplayed or outright ignored by AD's and support team. Optimism is not optional. If you don't have sunshine and rainbows pouring out of you, it will be noticed and it will not be welcome.

Thank you for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and detailed review. We’re proud to hear that you’ve experienced competitive pay and benefits, thorough training, and a team environment where people genuinely want one another to grow and succeed. Those are foundational to who we aim to be as a company. We also recognize and appreciate the candid feedback you’ve shared regarding leadership impact, scheduling demands, performance expectations, and culture. We understand how significantly Area leadership, communication style, and consistency can influence day‑to‑day experience, and we take input like this seriously. Our intent is for expectations to be challenging yet sustainable, feedback to be constructive and respectful, and optimism to coexist with open, honest dialogue, not replace it. Variable scheduling and the nature of our operations are not the right fit for everyone, and we strive to be increasingly transparent about those realities while continuing to evaluate how we support managers balancing high expectations with personal commitments. Feedback about performance evaluations, leadership development, and program effectiveness is actively reviewed as part of our continuous improvement efforts. Your advice to management reflects a desire to see Crew succeed, and we value that perspective. Open feedback, especially when it’s uncomfortable, is essential to growth, and we appreciate you taking the time to share yours. We’re committed to learning from experiences like this and continuing to better align actions with our values.

Thank you for taking the time to provide such detailed and candid feedback. We’re glad to hear you value customer interaction, team engagement, and the learning opportunities available. Those are core parts of what we aim to deliver to our team members. We also take your concerns seriously. Feedback around safety, policy consistency, leadership support, and how expectations and recognition are experienced is important to us. Our intent is always to prioritize safety, fairness, respect, and alignment with our values across all levels of the organization. When that isn’t how things feel day‑to‑day, it signals areas we need to continue improving. We recognize that leadership approach and communication can significantly shape the team experience, and we are actively working to ensure accountability, consistency, and constructive feedback practices across all areas. Compensation, support, and decision‑making transparency are also topics we regularly evaluate as part of our commitment to our people and culture. We appreciate your perspective and your advice to speak up and share feedback—it’s something we strongly encourage, as open dialogue helps us grow.
