Pros

Opportunities to own and influence the direction and decisions as an IC, good pay when the stock price does well, WFH autonomy if you're outside office range.

Cons

Unpredictable management decisions, poor communication from top-down (especially around disruptive changes like layoffs), arguable union-busting activity, middle management often has no information from upper management about recent announcements, definitely has a cold, corporate vibe. Lots of spooks.
