      Pros

      Depending on which business unit you work in, you'll have completely difference experiences. For the most part they are really trying to make it better there, but the partners need to take a more active role in making it a better place to work. There are some really good people there who are smart and willing to work hard.

      Cons

      The local partners should take responsibility for the discontentment of the staff. Unfortunately, everyone sticks their head in the sand to coddle the rainmakers, who in turn, poison the atmosphere.

      Leaders who care, diverse client base, ability to focus on what is interesting to you, flexibility, work-life balance

      Cons

      Limited partner advancement, midwest management doesn't really appreciate doing business in other cities, growth objectives are being led by people who have never achieved the targeted level of business

      Pros

      Crowe is really the antidote to ambitious professionals who do not want the big brother and impersonal approach to the Big 4. Exposure to partner and senior managers is very good for staff and partners are accessible. Crowe is a demanding place but acted much more humanistically than the Big 4 did during the 2009 -2009 downturn since they do not overhire and look at staff over the long term vs short term profits. The firm held steady during the downturn and is growing again

      Cons

      There are not many downsides- training hours and technical resources are not as good as the Big 4 but the on job training is much better and more personal
