Pros

Good benefits start right away

Cons

Company touts it's 10% 401K, they don't tell you that you have to be employed 3 years there to get it, many employees don't last that long. Sales Mgt group is one of the worst in telecom. High sales rep churn especially with new reps, high quota and a lousy sales comp plan, only connected reps get the accounts that bill anything. Operations contractors have to wait years to get a full time position. Liberal corporate culture is shoved down employees throats, opposing viewpoints are a 1st class ticket to unemployment.

Pros

Crown is a great place to work. Every day I feel like a valued employee and a vital contributor to the team. My roadblocks are cleared by my managers, my team is solid, and our dedication to our internal and external customers is high. The culture is about fairness, customer obsession, and win-win-win cooperation- a rare target to actually hit. I came from a polar opposite company and found Crown to be a welcome change. The company cares about trying to maintain sane & balanced employees, even though they can sometimes ask for your blood to put out the fires. Lower management is dedicated to supporting their teams in every department I have engaged with. The total compensation over time is reasonably generous. Available PTO is acceptable. Unofficial, but official flexibility is very real and used effectively to address worker needs beyond a slightly overly bureaucratic Business Resources. Training can be hit-or-miss, but the company is supportive of continuing education. It is clear that the company believes in investing in employees. The company seems to be well placed to continue to grow in good and bad economies. The continuing integration of its verticals will continue to increase the per-worker dollar return, which the company seems willing to share with labor.

Cons

On occasion, being an REIT versus a technology company does show. The company leadership are not technical in some significant facets of the company's operation. Built like a 50k person enterprise for an actual population an order of magnitude smaller. Room to scale, but it can feel like a MEGACORP instead of a MegaCorp. The challenge resolution can be tiresome because polite showboating is sometimes valued over hard truths. It seems impossible to get rid of mediocre individual contributors.
