Pros

Hard working friendly staff Great potential with the right Executives Ideal locations bring unlimited revenue potential

Cons

The franchises run to the beat of their own drums Constantly under staffed (especially in maintenance) Unclear business goals outside of money No community involvement Little to no understanding of actual sales processes, strategies or management styles No respect for voices of experience No accountability from ownership. Everything is placed on Club managers Franchise Owners are typically unrealistic, childish, and overconfident in his business expectations Management is too inexperienced, and overbearing Micromanagement, threats and inappropriate relationships between Executive management plague the company's potential No consistent training for frontline staff Personal Trainers are good and have great potential but not trained enough to make a huge difference in business retention General Management has no real authority Derogatory verbiage is used frequently to describe frontline staff Production bar is set incredibly low to mask ineffectiveness of Executive and senior staff Staff gets written up for foolish things like clocking in 1 minute late, speaking their minds if unhappy, not memorizing a 5 page phone script. Experienced management is quickly let go and unappreciated There are video cameras and audio everywhere. (Including manager's office and staff break/changing rooms). Private conversations are used against club management and staff in development meetings as a form of "feed-back".
