Pros

Great for Anime Fans. Dog-Friendly Office. Meal Credits are offered, and lunches are served in the office. Passionate employees and friendly people are the norm.

Cons

Sony is a large corporate entity with an old-fashioned view of hierarchy. So, the culture is now extremely political and focused on growth at all costs. Work-life balance is not encouraged. Creating long-term value is not part of the new strategy. Instead, a majority of new initiatives are short-sided and image-driven. Usually rushed and poorly planned. People are afraid to speak up since leadership does not encourage genuine feedback or care about employee well-being or authentic output. Many good people have recently left the company for this reason. Only "yes" people (suck-ups) who act excited about every half-baked strategy are rewarded. There is no room for career growth unless you are willing to work all the time. The company's stated mission and values do not align with the day-to-day realities.
