Pros

Free bakery food, union job. That's about it.

Cons

Long hours, specifically schedule you 7.75 hours so they only have to give you one break, encourages employees not to tell each other their wages so they can get away with underpaying people (My starting pay was higher than one of the cashiers' is after being made a manager) Managers will harass you for needing to take time off even for medical reasons. Virtually no repercussions for employees making racist and sexist comments about coworkers and customers, no recourse for sexual harassment from coworkers or customers. Will put you in manager training without asking or giving you a raise. Intentionally understaffs and overworks the front end. There's a reason they have such a high turn around.

Pros

It’s a great place to learn skills for future jobs

Cons

- Management is a complete mess I would say the biggest problem is they are super understaffed as about 2/3 if their employees get fired or quit and management does a horrible job of treating potential long term employees -My advice to anyone applying is do not become a Cashier it is the worst job in the whole store, it’s super boring, All the new and one old CSM act like tyrants it could be absolutely dead and have 4 cashiers on the registers and not let one be more productive, all of the other positions in the store decide when there break is and don’t have a CSM hovering over their shoulders counting every minute of their 15 minute break, it honestly feels like being trapped in a prison
